A process of working collaboratively with and through groups of people affiliated with a project by geographic proximity, special interest, or similar situations—often involving partnerships that help to influence system- and process-design, to define relationships among partners, and to serve as catalysts for changing policies, programs, and practices. The engagement process avails of Abadi Project resources to solve challenges facing communities through collaboration. Methods for engagement may include community service, service-learning, community-based participatory research, training and technical assistance, capacity-building and economic development.
